The Scale Truth is a health and weight-loss analytics dashboard that connects with third-party health and fitness platforms (including but not limited to Withings, MyFitnessPal, Apple Health, Google Fit, and Fitbit) to aggregate and display your personal health data in one unified interface. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
During the current beta phase, the Service is provided free of charge. No payment information is required to join the waitlist or access the beta. Beta access may be revoked at our discretion if we determine your usage violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate.
We intend to introduce paid subscription plans in the future (currently expected in late 2026). When paid plans are available:

The information displayed in your dashboard — including weight trends, body composition estimates, calorie calculations, and any insights generated — is for informational and educational purposes only.
Nothing in the Service constitutes or should be construed as medical advice, and nothing is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. Body composition estimates provided by connected devices (such as Withings scales) are estimates based on bioelectrical impedance analysis and may not be accurate for all individuals.
Before making any significant changes to your diet, exercise regimen, or health routine — especially if you have or suspect a medical condition — consult a qualified healthcare professional such as a physician, registered dietitian, or certified personal trainer. Do not disregard, delay, or avoid professional medical advice because of anything you read or see in the Service.
We are not responsible for any health outcomes related to decisions you make based on data or content presented in the Service.
The Service integrates with third-party platforms (Withings, MyFitnessPal, Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit) at your direction. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any third-party platforms. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies.
We request only the permissions necessary to display your health data and do not store your third-party platform passwords. You can revoke integrations at any time. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or security of data provided by third-party platforms.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience only and do not constitute our endorsement of those sites. We have no control over the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party sites.
All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, software, and the compilation thereof — are the exclusive property of The Scale Truth and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to:

You retain all rights to your personal health data. By connecting your health accounts to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to access, process, and display that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your personal health data.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF DATA.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; (B) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (C) THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE; OR (D) ANY ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE SCALE TRUTH, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100 USD).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Scale Truth and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service, including but not limited to your use of any data or content obtained from the Service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or that your use of the Service is otherwise harmful to us, other users, or third parties.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@thescaletruth.com or through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.
All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 6 (Health Disclaimer), 8 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Indemnification), and 13 (Governing Law) — shall survive termination.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms or relating to the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for matters involving intellectual property infringement or misappropriation.
If arbitration does not apply to your dispute, or if you are located in a jurisdiction that prohibits mandatory arbitration, any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the United States, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
